Christmas Book Recommendations

Do you read special holiday books at this time of year?  Do you need some suggestions?

Skipping ChristmasI finally read The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and I wish I had found it sooner.  What a great read-aloud for the kids, or even adults.

Last December, a friend gave me Skipping Christmas as a fun read for a stressful, busy time.  It was light-hearted, but with a good message.  Who knew that John Grisham did humor?

  1. I absolutely loved Wonder. I also really enjoyed I also really enjoyed Walls Within Walls by Maureen Sherry and Flying the Dragon by Natalie Diaz Lorenzi.

  2. I listened to the audio of Skipping Christmas earlier in the season. It was very entertaining and you are right, contained a great message. I just finished Candlelight Christmas by Susan Wiggs and liked it too. It wasn’t one I would read every Christmas, but it was enjoyable. My favorite story in the last several years is Polar Express, the movie as well as the book.

    1. Thanks Judy. I bet the audio of Skipping Christmas would be lots of fun! Thanks for suggesting Candlelight Christmas– I’ll have to check in to that one. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
